New York City

This coming Friday I FINALLY get to see my sister after 4 months. We are meeting up in new york, and since we are both a little bit obsessed with planning and didn't want to forget anything, we made an exact schedule of what we are going to do in New York (yes including where we are going to eat...because lets get real, food is the most important thing in the world). So if anyone is going to New York and needs some inspiration here is our list:

Friday:
Lunch: Pret A Manger
Trump Tower,
Plaza Hotel,
FAO Schwartz,
Christmas Tree

Dinner: Magnolia Bakery.

Saturday:
Breakfast: Ess-a-Bagel,
Upper East Side Walk,
Lunch: Soho Chobani,
Shopping in Soho,
Chinatown,
Dinner: Lombardi's Pizza

Sunday:
Breakfast: Spontaneous (shocker, I know)
Times Square
Tea Time at the Plaza Hotel
Grand Central Station
Dinner: Junior's Cheesecake
Walk through the Village

Monday:
Breakfast: La Maison Du Macaron

Then sadly (or not so sadly) we have to leave to spend Christmas in Boston.

New York here we come!

Ipsy Glam Bag November 2013

I got my new Ipsy Glam Bag and I LOVE it! (Well most of it anyways). Here are all the products I got:

From Left tor Right: (1) Starlooks Gem Pencil in Topaz, (2) Nailtini Nail Polish in Champagne, (3) Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched, (4) bh cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow in Aphrodite, (5) Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn, (6) E.M. cosmetics creamy color sheer lipstick in hug me.

My thoughts:

(1)The Gem Pencil is really fun. It is a silvery glitter color and is really easy to apply. Usually if an eye liner has glitter in it, it can be rough on the skin, but this one is really creamy.

(2) The Nail Polish is really nice and the champagne color is lovely. For a glittery/ shimmery nail polish it covered surprisingly well and i only needed 2 coats for a nice opaque look.

(3) The bronzer looks like it would be matte in the package but when applied to the skin it is actually shimmery. I wouldn't use it for contouring but more for a nice overall glow!

(4) This baked shadow is so pretty. The color is a beautiful rich maroon/purple. It goes on really smoothly and I like that this is a comparably large sample (the last time I received an eye shadow it was super tiny, barely enough to use once.)

(5) This Lip Crayon is a really intense color. It's orangy red, a color which really doesn't suit me, so I probably won't wear it. It is also kind of hard to apply as the texture is really dry and i had to use a lot of force to apply it evenly.

(6) This Lipstick is just weird. The consistency is fine and it has a nice sheer touch. What I really don't like about this is the color. When I opened it for the first time I literally thought it was a concealer. I do like to wear nude lipstick some times but this just looked plain weird.

Ipsy Glam Bag October 2013

I finally got the last item of my glam bag. I had received my glam bag about 1.5 weeks ago, but sadly the body lotion that came in it was broken and was all over the other products. But ipsy was really nice about it and sent me a replacement product and a new bag with it. These are the products I got this month:

From left to right: (1) Bare Escentuals Boxom Lips in Dolly, (2) Nourish Organic Coconut & Argan Body Lotion, (3) Zoya Nail Polish in Mason, (4) Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel, (5) Ole Henriksen truth creme advanced hydration facial moisturizer

So far I've tried everything but the nail polish.

I do like the lipgloss, its a darker color which is nice for the fall. It is relatively thick and a little bit too sticky for my liking, but overall it is a nice product.

The body lotion is really nice and has a really strong and sweet coconut scent.

The Blow Dry Volumizing Gel is really good, I tried it and it gave me tons of volume on my usually flat and thin hair.

The Face Moisturizer is okay. It has a scent that's hard to describe, a little tangy. Not the most pleasant. It is also really thin, and I do prefer a slightly thicker texture for moisturizers especially in the colder months when my skin gets dry and flaky.
